judoJudo “the way of gentleness” comes to us from the fighting system of feudal Japan. Founded in 1882 by Dr. Jigoro Kano, Judo is a refinement of the ancient martial art of Jujutsu. Judo was introduced into the Olympic games in 1964. Judo is best known for it’s spectacular throwing techniques but also involves considerable grappling on the ground utilizing specialized pins, control holds, Judo choking for ages 12+, and arm locks techniques for ages 16+. Judo emphasizes safety, and full physical activity for top conditioning. Judo emphasizes physical and mental development, its influence extends to every area of a person’s life.

Physically, Judo Improves: flexibility, coordination, balance and reflexes. It is a means of self-defense that requires skill rather than just size or strength. Mentally, it promotes concentration, self-confidence and leadership. Because Judo requires a clear and focused mind, it encourages participants to be fully present in the moment. BJJ

bjjBrazilian Jiu-Jitsu evolved from Kodokan Judo and uses leverage, positioning and submissions to defeat an opponent on the ground. Royce Gracie made this art known at UFC 1. CT 707 Krav Maga

kravCT 707 -ISFKM: Different from Krav Maga, Israeli Special Forces Krav Maga is the exact same streamlined strategy based platform developed by Sgt. Maj. Nir Maman. It is taught at the IDF Special Forces Counter Terror and Special Operations School where Nir served as Chief Counter Terror Tactics Instructor and Head Krav Maga Instructor. In April of 2009, Nir was awarded the Israeli Defense Force Ground Forces Command Soldier of the Year Award of Excellence for his service in developing Counter-Terror tactics and for excellent service in commanding the Counter-Terror Schools’ International Training Section. The methodology of this system combined with speed and violence of action makes its application realistic and effective to incapacitate or terminate a threat when, and only when, the defender is under reasonable apprehension of imminent death or grievous bodily harm with no means of escaping the threatening situation and having no other available resources to preserve their life. This class is a perfect Addition to any martial artists skill set.
